They don't teach this...

Null Curriculum: what is not taught in schools.

They don't really teach you about cancer in schools, or why some things aren't fair. Therefore I must learn through my experience. The things they teach in school must be more important. I mean, surly that mathematical equation can explain to me how to deal with illness and the memories I'll never have, or the hard memories that I will have. Surely that geographical information will be helpful when I'm in a hospital room, wishing I wasn't there. Surely that spelling test was more important than the moral decisions I have to face everyday. Surely our education systems know what's important, and the rest must be irrelevant...all this time, I never knew a time like this.
