A great New Year

Greetings,

Whew! I just finished 2 paintings this week, which might not sound like a lot of work, but unlike many other kinds of tasks, art doesn't follow patterns. Making a masterpiece doesn't happen instantly. I'm looking forward to trying out some new mediums for a new project coming up. I always try to have a few projects on-the-go at once so I won't get bored. It's easy to get tired of a project and having a different one to work on is a nice break.

I think I would like to work with oil more, the colours are so rich, and I'm happy with the results I've had with my first oil painting "Venice." Maybe I'll attempt a few more paintings before the semester switches...this is going to be a great new year!
